MV Giamani Itineraries

The MV Giamani will be doing a few 3-day/ 3-night safaris, but mostly 6-day/ 6-night and 9-day/ 9-night trips from October - April. Most of the trips will be to Thai destinations, including Hin Daeng, Similan, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai, and Richelieu Rock. The longer 9-day trips will do a combination of Thailand and the Mergui Archipelago in Burma (Myanmar)

Price includes hotel transfer, accommodation on board, all meals, drinking water, coffee, tea, divemaster services, tanks, weights, and belts. Price does not include personal diving equipment, alcoholic beverages, or national park fees. Thai National Park fees are 400 Baht per person entry, plus 200 Baht per day.

The immigration fee/ diving license for Mergui (Burma) is $200 US per person, although this is subject to change (US dollars only--no Euro or any other currency accepted for this fee. This is the policy of the Burmese and not our policy). Please have this ready in US cash for immigration officials on the day of departure. We also require certain documents and this list can be found here. Credit cards are accepted on the boat, although cash is appreciated for drinks, tips, and other fees. The boat accepts US dollars, Thai baht, English pounds, or Euros. Your bill is tallied up at the end of the trip and the cruise director will tell you the amount.

Nitrox fills cost $6 US. Proof of Enriched Air certification is required. Courses are available on board for $199 US. Advanced Open Water courses are $199 US. All courses include the required manuals and course materials. Please let us know in advance approximately how many dives you will do with Nitrox so we can ensure we have enough tanks.

Note: We can take no responsibility for scheduling or itinerary changes due to changing weather, political situations, natural disasters or other events beyond our control. We strongly recommend that you purchase travel insurance for any kind of trip you do anywhere in the world. We also recommend that you have DAN or other diving accident insurance up to date and current in case of an unanticipated evacuation or other treatment that may not be covered by your regular insurance.
