SY Indo Siren Liveaboard Details

The 40 meter SY Indo Siren will be the newest member of our fleet when completed in spring of 2011. She will have the same specifications as her sister, the SY Philippine Siren. The cabins offer flexibility and can be used as twins or double bedded rooms. The dining area is very spacious offering a great setting for all your meals. The dive deck will perhaps be the most spacious and comfortable you would have experienced. Designated areas for charging and preparation of your camera and video equipment, the S/Y Philippine Siren truly sets out to be the pros choice for underwater photography and videography.
She is being built on the Indonesian Island of Sulawesi, and like our other yachts, is a traditional "gaft rigged Phinisi" handcrafted from ironwood and teak. You will find no other dive liveaboard's as beautiful in Indonesian waters, and being that she is being built by divers for divers you can rest assured every need has been thought of and is being implemented
A Thing of Beauty
The SY Indo Siren welcomes up to 16 guests on each trip. This ensures abundant space for all guests. Features of the SY Indo Siren include an incredible seven sails to get maximum movement from the wind (and a beautiful site she is under full sail). She has an huge forward deck area for relaxing and soaking up the sun. Her dive area is located forward of the wheelhouse and saloon, and is cleverly built around the top section of the saloon. The dive seats face forward and seaward and your tanks are set up and remain there throughout the cruise. This doesn't interfere with sailing or motoring operations.
The area in the center between the tank stations is used for two different purposes. When we have photographers on board this area can be converted into a shaded, comfortable camera work station. When not in use by photographers, the table is removed and you have a comfortable shaded relaxation area with cushions and pillows. A perfect place to sit down with a good book.
Eat, Sleep, Dive, Eat, Sleep, Dive, Eat, Sleep, Dive
At the rounded stern is the dining area and center of your onboard social life. Here scrumptious meals are served up overlooking a million-dollar, ever changing view of the ocean or fantastic island you're visiting. There is plenty of room for all guests and crew to join in the festivities, conversation, and daily gluttony. This area is shaded thus protected from the intense tropical sun.
Below Deck She's a Work of Art
Down below is one of the prettiest air conditioned saloons you'll see on a boat. It is tastefully designed, clean, and uses available space well. She has a big flat screen TV and computer server supporting a network through out the vessel. Each cabin has her own computer with a large monitor, or you can bring your own and plug it in. You can use this for working, editing photos or digital entertainment.
The saloon has a beautiful rounded sofa seating area for relaxing, reading or watching TV. She has a bar area with stools for those of you wishing to engage in face to face conversation over a drink or cocktail.
The Accommodation - Some Like it Hot
Each of the eight large individually controlled air-conditioned cabins have their own personal computer, audio-visual entertainment system and en suite bathrooms with hot and cold water. Each cabin has plenty of power points and plugs to meet the needs of everyone underwater photographer or geek gadget-freak. All rooms include bathrobes, hair dryers, towels, and even individually controlled mood lighting. Do we feel romance in the air?
She has one double-bed cabin at the rear, another double-bed cabin with an additional single bed in the bow (ideal for families), two twin cabins where one of the beds can be made into a double (ideal for families), two more twin-bed cabins and two cabins with three single beds. She takes 16 persons on a regular basis, but can handle up to 18 persons easily. We offer daily laundry and maid services and we have a full-time masseuse on board to kneed away those daily diving or kayaking pains.
Nitrox for Everyone - Free!
Enriched Air Nitrox is free for all certified Nitrox divers. If you are not a certified Nitrox diver all our instructors can certify you as Enriched Air divers.
Get Up and Go
SY Indo Siren carries two large dinghies with high powered engines to move you to dive sites fast and conveniently. They are powerful enough to allow you to water ski or wake board in between dives as well. For your entertainment, we keep kayaks and fishing tackle aboard at all times so we can paddle remote islands or mangroves and catch lunch while moving between dive sites.
Safety is Job One
Siren's owners consider safety the preeminent issue aboard our yachts. She has been designed and constructed based on Lloyds Standards, the leading international body of maritime safety standards. Due to these requirements, the crew has been specially trained in all aspects of safety, emergency and evacuation procedures. The yacht is equipped with the latest safety features including life rafts and jackets, fire extinguishers, smoke alarms, emergency long-distance radios, and satellite phones.
The Siren of Your Dreams
This is one of the loveliest and most comfortable boats sailing in these waters. Her clean lines, well appointed cabins and saloon areas, along with those little touches that other boats just don't have make it a great choice for an individual diver, a couple or a group of friends to charter.
