Overnight Similan Camping: Boat and Schedule

This Similan and Koh Bon day trip vessel is stationed in the Similan Islands throughout the high season from November until April. Transfers are done by speedboat out to the islands where you board the large dive boat to do your diving. The boat offers one day trips every day during the high season. In addition, you may combine these trips to make a two day overnight camping trips offering six dives (no night dive).

Accommodation is in tents on Similan Island #4. Lunch is served on the dive boat the first day, dinner you pay for yourself at the island's restaurant (bring anything you crave as items are limited in the national park). The next morning, breakfast and lunch are served before you're transferred back to the mainland and your onward destination.

These trips depart daily but to see the exact diving location for each day, please refer to our seasonal schedule.

  • Customer transferring to the Similan islands for snorkeling and diving tours from Khao Lak are picked up from hotel beginning at 0700. The harbor is 30 minutes away by road.
  • Customer transferring to the Similan islands for snorkeling and diving from Phuket beaches are picked up from your hotel at 0545. There is a 1000 THB fee for this return transfer. The harbor is 1.5 hours away by road.
  • Speedboats depart the Similan islands at 1600 on three dive days for return to Khao Lak or Phuket. It's a 30 minute drive to Khao Lak and a 1.5 hour drive to Phuket.
  • Speedboats depart the Similan islands at 1430 on two dive days for return to Khao Lak or Phuket. It's a 30 minute drive to Khao Lak and a 1.5 hour drive to Phuket.
  • If bungalows are available at the time of your booking, you may "upgrade" from a tent to a bungalow for 2,000 THB per night for an air conditioned bungalow or 1,000 THB per night for a fan room. Each bungalow sleeps two persons and this is the price per room not per person (therefore 500 THB or 1,000 THB per person depending on the room).

Prices include tanks and weights, all personal diving equipment (normally this carries an extra charge), divemaster, tea, coffee, drinking water, lunch, breakfast, fruit, snacks, tanks and weights, and transfers (except noted as above). It also includes the camping fee paid to the national park. Prices do not include Thai national park fees (800 THB for a diver, 400 THB for a snorkeler). Please bring your own towel.

Note: We can take no responsibility for scheduling or itinerary changes due to changing weather, political situations, natural disasters or other events beyond our control. We strongly recommend that you purchase travel insurance for any kind of trip you do anywhere in the world. We also recommend that you have current DAN or other diving accident insurance in case of an unanticipated evacuation or other treatment that may not be covered by your regular insurance.
