    Booking Procedures and Policies

    Use Our Search Schedules Tool

We have a search engine at the top of each page to search for liveaboard dive trips by boat or by country. Please select the desired country, then choose the month you would like to travel. Your search results will show you boat schedules and prices. Select a trip then choose the cabin you want based on comfort and price. Add this to your WishList or cart and once you have the cart filled with several selections, simply send it to us and we will check availability.

We don’t offer live availability as this changes by the minute. But will will hold a trip for 48 hours while you think about it. Or longer if you keep in touch. Feel free to ask us questions at any time.

    Contact SiamDivers.com

We prefer communication by email as it’s easier to keep track of your booking once the process has started. But we’re on all the social media platforms including Facebook and Messenger, John’s WhatsApp or Bent’s WhatsApp and Instagram. We do not Tweet.

    SiamDivers.com Booking Conditions

A deposit of 30% is required to hold the space(s) on any liveaboard boat in any country. Full payment is then due 35 to 65 days prior to departure depending on the trip and the vessel. For full boat bookings or charters full payment is due at least 65 days prior to departure date. If payment is not received by this time, we will attempt to contact you. If we are unsuccessful, we will then resell the places you’ve booked and your deposit will be lost. Once final payment is paid, this too is non-refundable. We strongly suggest you purchase cancellation insurance

As payment, we accept all credit cards through our online merchant account, secure and safe, and charge no fees on our end. We also accept wire transfers and other forms of payments. This is all done electronically and securely through a real bank and not PayPal or some other dodgy Internet service. Having said that, we do have two PayPal accounts for accepting AMEX.

    SiamDivers.com Booking Terms

We can take no responsibility for scheduling or itinerary changes due to changing weather, political situations, natural disasters or other events beyond our control. We also cannot be responsible for family emergencies or illnesses which require you to cancel your reservations. In all cases, we do our best to work out a compromise or rebook the trip, but travel insurance is the only fair way to resolve these problem if they occur. We do not over book dive trips, so if you cancel it will cause difficulty for the boats since it’s not easy to fill up trips at the last minute as most trips are booked far in advance of departure date.

We also recommend (and many boats require) that you have DAN or other diving accident insurance up to date and current in case of an unanticipated evacuation or other treatment that may not be covered by your regular insurance. Evacuation and treatment in a chamber can and will be expensive everywhere in the world.

    Port and Park Fees

Each country has its own policies regarding port charges or national park fees. These vary widely but every country has a policy. These fees are usually not included in your invoice and are paid on board the boat. These fees range from $50 to $300 USD. Sometimes there is only a park fee, sometimes only a port fee, sometimes a fuel surcharge and sometimes all three. Please rest assured we will inform you of these charges in advance at time of booking.

    Price Matching

This seems to be a common “service” some travel agents use to make you think they offer the best prices. With liveaboards, all agencies are required to publish retail prices and the prices will only be lowered if there is a current special offer from the boat owners. If you see a lower price than what we’re offering, let us know and we’ll investigate and match that price if it is an honest and true rate.

    Honesty. Integrity. Truthfulness.

John Williams and Bent Posejpal have been in the diving business for most of their adult lives. We have lived in Phuket, Thailand since the late 1980s. We dive all over the region and all over the world. Our honesty and integrity have kept us in business all these years. We may not be the biggest with fancy offices all over the globe, but we work legally and ethically. You’re in good hands with us.

We also offer our honest opinions on your dive travel based on experience and research. We may not tell you what you want to hear but trust our judgement and we’ll steer you to the right destination for your experience level, the right boat for your budget and be sure your diving dollars are well spent. After all, life is too short for lousy diving!
